ORGANIZATION of Basic Medical Sciences Institute

Basic Medical Sciences Institute is developed for advancement of authentic, ethical and professional scientific research and education and consequently advancement of health care .

Governance and management is separated in Basic Medical Sciences Institute. The Policy Making Council, departments/deputies are responsible for overall policy and direction of the center, and network. The advisory/international board provides non-binding strategic advice to both Policy Making Council and staff. With our international board we would like to share ideas, facilities, human, financial and educational resources in order to launch and facilitate authentic, ethical and professional scientific research intended to improve universal science policy making and human life.


Our mission is to provide scientific and technical basement in the field of basic medical sciences and translational research in order to expand innovation and increase the quality of the country's research capacity, science production, knowledge commercialization, integration and training of human resources and specialists in order to achieve scientific authority in the field of research in accordance with the mission of the research institute.

Our mission with our international networks is to validate, improve and share ideas, facilities, human, financial and educational resources and determine their scientific credibility and reliability

Finally our final mission is to take a leading role in the scientific translational research world through making universal science policies that will be established and executed for the promotion of human life.



1- Establishing scientific authority for the subject at the provincial, national and international levels

2- Determining the research needs in the subject area of the research institute at the provincial, national and regional levels for proper planning and policy-making to achieve the goal

3- Developing knowledge and applying the latest scientific findings in the research field of the research institute

4- Quantitative and qualitative improvement of researches related to the activities of the research institute

5- Cooperation to achieve a comprehensive scientific map of the country and the production of national wealth based on the program and policies of the research institute

6- Creating a platform and a map in order to develop technologies based on health research and development

Tasks and activities

  1. A) Research scope:

1- Conducting various types of related research (basic and translational research in medicine)

2- Preparing and publishing articles in prestigious domestic or foreign journals in the field of research topics in the research institute

3- Preparing and patenting and protecting intellectual property based on upstream documents

4- Providing scientific advice to various organizations

5- Determining the research priorities in the relevant research field at the provincial and regional level to plan and assist in appropriate policy-making in order to achieve the goals, taking into account the priorities of the university / Ministry of Health and Medical Education and related international organizations. To the research topic of research institutes

6- Holding research workshops


Educational scope:

1- Combining and creating a suitable environment in order to attract the cooperation of researchers and students of related fields to cooperate in research activities, implementation of research projects and dissertations

2- Providing the necessary conditions for conducting scientific visits in the form of research and educational tours for undergraduate / associate students in fields related to the research field

3- Compiling, planning and executing educational and research, skills and applied courses in the form of internship and internship courses for students of specialized and sub-specialized degrees and PhD in related fields in the desired field based on the regulations and instructions of the university.

4- Planning and implementation of postgraduate training courses approved by the High Council for Medical Sciences with a research-oriented approach in the form of specialized postgraduate courses, PhD by Research and post Doctorate  in relevant fields.

5- Effective scientific-educational cooperation with universities and national and international research and educational centers regarding holding joint courses of different educational levels, especially postgraduate studies in relevant fields,

6- Planning and conducting training courses at the beginning and in the service of the faculty of the research institute and research centers

7- Cooperation and participation in compiling and reviewing scientific guidelines


International Communications

1- Acting within the framework of its duties and authorities as a representative or center collaborating with an international organization (collaborate center) as a cooperation in the field of research / education

2- Cooperating with national and international organizations involved in health to implement the policies of the health system on the subject

3- Translating knowledge into the language of stakeholders

4- Cooperation with charities and non-governmental organizations
